Opposites: Navy Blue Stripes & Rose Gold

Hello Loves!
Today I'm sharing the project I'm working on this week.
While working in the studio today I am watching two oldies but goodies; Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada. What better movies to watch while creating fashion, right? I previously demo'd how to create your own stripes in your garments in a blog post where I used the technique to create a cropped top.  If you missed it you can check it out here

The skirt I'm creating is my interpretation of the popular pleated striped skirts that I've seen all over the internet (IG, Blog Posts), at Express and a few other retailers. The image above is from Sheinside.com
------------------------------------------------
The most popular colorway I've seen is black and white or black and tan stripes.  I decided to change it up with navy and white. To keep with the textured look/bandage style of the fabric in the trendy skirt, I chose a Bermuda Pique. You can find it here.  I'm envisioning wearing my full skirt with a navy shirt, the opposite of yesterday's post where I paired Navy blue knit pants with a Navy blue and white striped sweater. Of course I'll be accenting this look in rose gold! Are you loving rose gold as much as I?

If you desire a skirt like this check back tomorrow as a DIY tutorial for creating a full skirt will be posted. Until then....

Thanks for reading!
