So, What Did You Get For Your Birthday?

Hello Loves!
I hope you are well. I am sharing with you the lovely birthday gifts I received from family and friends!

My birthday celebration kicked off on the Saturday the week before my birthday with an informal photoshoot of my friends wearing clothes and bags that I made and dinner afterwards (check out the photos here). It ended with the weekend after my birthday with a small shopping haul that I will share later.
Actual gifts opened on the morning of my birthday. Two cards from my friends (Erica and Melissa) with money and a gift card to Michael's! Hot Puma wedge sneakers from my sister! And 50 long stem Hot Pink Roses from Me to Me!
Close up of the flowers taken with my cell phone!
The gifts to follow were my Saturday Gifts!
Gifts from the hubby.  $50 gift card to JoAnn Fabrics a Rotary Cutter and a Zipper/Piping foot! I told him that the best thing I've ever inherited was a zipper foot from my Grandmother which I have sadly nicked a few times with the machine needle. To preserve my Grandmother's zipper foot, my husband purchased this one for me. There is a Teflon version of the zipper foot coming soon so I can use it to sew zippers into leather!

D.Q. Strawberry CheeseQuake Blizzard cake! Delicious! Gift from my parents.

Fabric from Michael Levine from my parents! The sequin fabric is a sweater knit, the black and white stripe feels like a double knit, and the black is an athletic spandex! These are perfect for the Fall Wardrobe I am designing!

Great gifts for an aspiring designer, right?!
