#OOTD How to Style Navy and White Stripes with Yellow?

rhianna's studio DIY navy blue and white striped shirt and yellow midi pencil skirt

Hello Everyone!
I hope you are well! Today's OOTD is the "Sailor Stripes" look that I created during the 14 day design challenge I did in May.  The original post from the challenge is here

I once again was inspired by the fabric to create this look, after all it was a piles of fabric to products challenge.  LOL! Anyway the shirt was made from leftover fabric so I had to piece it together.  I got the fabric for the graphic from Hobby Lobby. It has a sailboat on it and vintage luggage. I love it! I wanted to go with a classic look for this outfit. The shirt has a capped dolman sleeve with a low V in the back. The skirt has a single seam in the back and was made to measure.

I ordered the shirt fabric from Michael Levine (lowpricefabric.com) It is a rayon knit. It was really difficult to layout but it feels nice and wears nicely too. The yellow fabric was ordered from fabric.com. It is a Ponte Double Knit. It was very easy to work with and has a nice amount of stretch. It is light weight and comfortable!
