How Do You Store Your Sewing Patterns?

Hello Loves!
I hope you are well today! It is hump day! Happy Wednesday! Today's post will be short and sweet. I am in the studio cleaning it today so that I can start and finish some projects I've been requested to do :-). My studio gets destroyed when I take on projects like the 'Piles to Products' one I recently finished. As I mentioned in a previous post, clutter clouds my mind and I cannot be productive or creative so cleaning up my space allows me to think clearly, be productive, and creative! Which is very important for an aspiring fashion designer, right? I've gotta maintain my creativity and be able to produce regularly enough to stay relevant, right?

Here is a video to show you what I am dealing with today as far as cleaning Rhianna's Studio up!

Since I am cleaning today, I thought I would share with you how I store my self drafted patterns. If I purchased manufactured patterns, I think I would store them the same way. But basically I purchase a case of mailing envelopes from Staples size 9x12 and I label each pattern piece then put them in the envelope. The envelope is then labeled in the top left corner based on the content in the envelope. Often I include the year or the full date. I use a stackable file box that I got from Target. The reason I do this is because I live in an apartment and it not only keeps my patterns organized but it also makes packing easier as the box can just be picked up loaded up and moved to the next location :-)

How do you store your patterns? Do you think you will try my method?

As always, thank you for reading!
