What's Happening in the Studio Today?

Hello Everyone!
I hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day weekend! I did. I spent time with my Mom and my Mother-in-law. We went to brunch and then my mom, sister, and niece went to the movies to see The Other Woman. It was such a cute movie. What special things did you do with your mom or did your children do for you?

Today marks the first day of my personal design challenge. Here is what I have worked on in the studio thus far.  Two graphic tees and two pencil skirts. I learned from watching the TV show What Not To Wear that you should shop for outfits rather than for pieces. So that is how I sew by outfit not pieces. The great thing about dresses are that they constitute an outfit! I've actually started on another pencil skirt. This one is color-blocked. I feel today's theme should be How many pencil skirts can you make in a day? LOL!

It's break time. Then I'll be back to it it this afternoon. I will post pictures of everything that is completed by the end of the day.  Thus far I've worked on items for me so OOTD posts will be coming soon!

If you decide to join the challenge, let me know! I am interested to see what others are sewing or other challenges you are doing.
