How Did Day 2 Turn Out?

 Hello Everyone!
I hope you are having a great Tuesday! I was off  to a slow start this morning as I did not feel well and took my time getting out of the bed. I have completed two looks thus far. I will be working as late as I can and will be back tomorrow with an update.  More information on the design challenge can be found here.

----------------------------------------

Close up of the elephant shirt. Made of French Terry Knit and I created the applique using quilters fabric and double-sided adhesive. I applied a rhinestone to mark the eye of the elephant.

Shout out to Mimi G of Mimi G Style for sharing her secret for finishing curved necklines and armholes (using bias tape). I learned this from her last year and have been using it a lot. I love it. It makes sewing curved areas so much easier and it looks great (nice and clean)!

The skirt and the elephant top. The pencil skirt is made from a double knit fabric that I ordered from Fabric.com.The white french terry knit is also from Fabric.com. I ordered a small amount of it when I was swatch shopping a while back. I am thinking I may add a belt to this look. This color seems to match the yellow in the graphic on the tee, don't you think?

More styling ideas for this look. Shoes from Aldo (old). Nail polish is sinful colors (nude and garden party).

The second look I finished today was another graphic tee and a pencil skirt. The 3D bow and skull fabric  were purchased from Hobby Lobby and I used double-sided adhesive to adhere it to the graphic.

The tee fabric was purchased from GirlCharlee.com last year. The skirt fabric was purchased from Michael Levine. It is a double knit fabric and can be purchased here.

FYI: The color of the skirt is the darker red. I posted this picture because I like it from a photography point of view :-)

If I'm going to make a dent in that fabric I am going to need to pick up the pace. What do you think of what I've made so far. If you would like a tutorial on anything just leave a comment below!

Thank you for reading!
