#OOTD: How to style a denim shirt with a midi sweatskirt?

Rhianna's Studio Sweatskirt

Hello Everyone!
I hope you are well and your Hump Day, Wednesday went well. As promised I am showing how I styled the denim button down shirt that added a hidden snap in the front placket of my denim shirt last Friday.

The snap is working very well in the front placket of the shirt no more bra showing gap! Check out the DIY post for closing the gap of the front placket of your button down shirts here so that you too can have relief from that annoying gap! :-)  I added a DIY tassel that I made last year to wear as a necklace but I've found a new purpose here with the faux tie look :-) I just attached it to my top  button.

I made a skirt from some French Terry knit that I purchased from last year while I was swatching.  Unfortunately they are sold out but there is a similar one you can check out. This fabric is so soft and comfortable and light weight. I love it!

I love this new trend of a fitted pencil skirt and denim button down shirt. The only thing is with some fabrics (light weight mostly) the shirt does not smoothly lay inside of the skirt. I have tried this trend with other pencil skirts I have and they work fairly well. Sometimes cotton likes to stick especially to fabric with similar properties as cotton.  But I still love this look!

I love the midi skirt length, especially in the pencil skirt. You can do some much with this skirt. You can dress it up or down. Its definitely curve complimenting, sexy and sassy. All the things I look for in a garment :-)

What do you think about the denim shirt and pencil skirt trend? How would you style your midi pencil skirt?

Shout out to the Husband for assisting with taking pictures today! Great job!!
