Work Ready - DIY!

Hello Everyone!
I hope you guys are keeping warm for those of you in cold climates and enjoying your week so far. Happy Hump Day! Today, as promised, I am sharing a DIY that is fresh off the sewing machine - High Waist Wide Leg Pants!
I previously published a blog post that describe the best looks to compliment the curves of a hourglass and pear shaped woman. I am more-so an hourglass and I believe these pants to look great on me! They elongate my leg making me look taller as I am only 5'2. But most of all they compliment my curvy hips :-)
It snowed in North Carolina yesterday and over night and it is freezing outside so I promise I will take pictures of me in my recent DIY's once it gets to at least 40 degrees. I am not kidding when I say I am sensitive to the cold. My husband teases me because I wear jackets and sweaters in the summer time and it gets near 100 degrees in the summers here but I still get cold LOL! :-)

The ensemble - DIY high waist wide leg pants created from a self drafted pattern, Camel colored BCBGeneration pumps, DIY antique button earrings, Bauble Bar necklace, Express Essential button down shirt

Detail shot of finishing technique for pants. I used lime green for a pop of color that only I can see :-) by hand stitching bias tape to the edge of the pants. I usually sew in my label in the garment but I am running low and want to save for some projects I have coming up :-)
